Water Town USA is again sponsoring their annual music festival between all area Public and Private Middle and High School bands, choral ensembles and jazz groups, on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 7670 W. 70th Street, Shreveport, Louisiana, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with competition ending around 2:30 p.m. New this year, the jazz group will add another dimension of the multi talented musicians from our area school systems. 9 am: Centenary College Book Bazaar Donations @ Centenary College Book House

The Muses of Centenary College will be accepting donations for the 23rd annual Book Bazaar. Volunteers will be on hand to help unload donations of used books, compact discs, videotapes, DVDs, records and cassettes. Receipts will be issued to those donors requesting them. Two other drop dates will be June 8 and Aug. 10, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Book House is located at 108 E. Kings Highway.
