6 pm: Northwest Louisiana Food Bank's 'Empty Bowls' Fundraiser @ Eldorado Casino

Ceramic bowls that have been hand painted by people of all ages and professionally finished, along with donated goods and services, to be auctioned off in a silent auction. Includes a soup dinner. A raffle and other surprises are planned. Everyone will take home a ceramic bowl. Tickets: $25, advance for adults; $15, advance for children for children 12 and younger.

Nation-wide vendors of custom motorcycles, trailers, clothing, and all manner of gear will fill Festival plaza.. We want to emphasize that this is an Open Motorcycle Rally – which means all riders and their guests are welcome to attend and participate. The general public is also invited to come out and experience the fun of a rally. Friday gates open at 2 PM – with Registration & Check in. There will be Entertainment and Live Music beginning at 5:30 PM. The Rally is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – all Riders, regardless of club affiliation or motorcycle, are invited. Colyar broke from the mold set by many African- American comedians by delving into routines neither vulgar, nor profane, nor directed exclusively to a black audience and he appeals to all ages, ethnicities, and personal backgrounds. He was the host and emcee of his own cable talk show, BET Live from L.A. in 1999. Some of Colyar's film credits include "Hollywood Shuffle," "Johnny Be Good," "House Party 3," "What's Love Got to Do With It?," and "Poetic Justice," the urban drama "The Beat," a small supporting roles in the hit Eddie Murphy farce "Norbit," and "The Longshots," opposite Ice Cube and Keke Palmer. 9 am: Greenwood Farmers Market @ William Peters Town Park (Greenwood)

Vendors will have available for sale fresh produce, eggs, honey, meat pies, tamales, jams and jellies, natural granola, bird houses, fresh plants, dog and cat treats, pickled vegetables, natural skin care products, monogrammed baby clothes, grass fed bed, cookies, breads, brownies, wood items and more. Lobo, a two-year old long horn steer, will be visiting June 6. This event is located off Hwy 80 in Greenwood.



10 am: Summer Safety Day @ Sci-Port

School's out and the summer fun begins. Prepare to make this summer a safe and enjoyable time for all! Come see demonstrations on protecting yourself from harmful UV rays, water safety, first aid, heat-related hazards and more. There will be demonstrations each hour from 10 am to 5 pm. All Little League and Softball Teams and their families are invited to spend the day at the "beach" at Water Town USA. All attendees are admitted with their Team Jersey at a buy one ticket and get the second ticket for half price cost. Enjoy tips from area college and professional ball players. Objective of this event is to unite Divine 9 members of the NPHC for a fun filled weekend of establishing new relationships & networking and to raise money to provide scholarships to deserving students within the Shreveport/Bossier area.
