9 am: March for Babies @ Loyola College Prep Athletic Complex
The annual March of Dimes 5K run/walk with Green Oaks High School Drumline performing, the Louisiana SkyDive parachuters will land at the stadium, a tribute to Barksdale Air Force Base, refreshments provided by Brookshire's and Kroger food stores, a picnic will follow the 5K, an on-site health fair, and the Kid Zone. Funds raised will benefit life-saving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy babies. Donation requested. The complex is located at 2550 Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway. Written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Dr. Crawford, "Leading Ladies" is a comedy of two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, down on their luck, performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, Pennsylvania is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they decide pass themselves off as her relatives to get the cash.
