7 am: 2009 BPAR Youth Basketball Registration @ BPAR Office

Registration begins for 2008 BPAR youth basketball season; deadline is Dec. 6 for ages 5-12, and Dec. 17 or ages 13-14. Coaches meetings will be 6 p.m., Dec. 15, for 5-7 year old league coaches, and 7 p.m., for 8-9 year old league coaches; 6 p.m. Dec. 16, for 10-14 year old league coaches. The River City Repertory Theatre's third season opens with "Doubt," the Tony Award and Pulitzet Prize winning play, written by John Patrick Shanley, directed by Patric McWilliams. The LSUS Department of Communications presents "The Clean House," by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Pruitt Taylor Vince. The story of a doctor's world turned upside down by the people closest to her. The Iota Gamma chapter of Chi Omega will hold its seventh annual silent and live auction to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation. Musical entertainment provided by Ryan Robinson and Band, and food will be available. The goal this year is to raise $10,000 to be able to grant two wishes for local children. The cost is $5.
