7 pm: Women's Self Defense Class @ Lotus Studio

Participants will learn how to identify, avoid, and if necessary escape potentially dangerous or life threatening situations by using simple and basic self defense techniques. The Jared Montz Pro Soccer Camps are for players ages 5-13 who want to improve their game. The camp is designed to give campers the knowledge and training that will help them reach their pesonal goals in life. Jared Montz is a professional soccer player. The camp costs $195-$205. 1 pm: Krewe of Sobek Parade @ La. State Fair Grounds

Area bands, including Huntington High School and Woodlawn High School, MacSpeed Motorsports, Mrs. Eddie Jones West Shreveport Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary and Caddo Magnet High School, Top Teens of America, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Chief Togbe Asogli II of the Ewe Tribe of Asogli Traditional Council, Volta Region, Ghana West Africa will be the Parade Marshal. The parade begins at the Louisiana Fairgrounds to Querbes Street, cross Greenwood Road to Mertis Street, down Mertis to Lakeshore Drive to Missouri and back to the Fairgrounds.
