9 am: 21st Annual Greening @ the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum

10 am: 8th Annual Decemberfest @ Broadmoor Library

The Decemberfest open house is the Broadmoor library's gift to patrons, with refreshments, multicultural holiday crafts, live music, and special guest musicians and storytellers. Also members of the band Dirtfoot will perform "Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas," story teller Shirley Henry will perform "The Polar Express," as well as presenters Rabbi Jana DeBenedetti of B'nai Zion Temple and Janice Gatlin of the Multicultural Center of the South. 10:30 am - Blue Ribbon/Founder's Day Ceremony @ Caddo Magnet High School

Program to include the history of the founding of the school which opened in August 1980, followed by Mary Rounds, Principal, who will make a presentation regarding the school's Blue Ribbon designation. The school will present its plaque and flag that was awarded by the U.S. Department of Education. The school will also recognize members of the writing committee for the Blue Ribbon packet. Superintendent Gerald Dawkins will make remarks, along with the founding principal, Ascension Delgado Smith. CMHS is located at 1601 Viking Drive in Shreveport.



5 pm: Culinary Arts Christmas Buffet @ BPCC

The BPCC Culinary Arts program will have a Christmas dinner buffet. To go boxes available. Cost is $6.50 per person.

7:30 pm - Carlos Mencia: At Close Range @ Strand Theatre

10 am: 'Santa's Fun Run' Charity car Cruise & Poker Run @ Sonic Drive-In (Bossier City)

Northwest Louisiana Car Club Council invites all car, truck, and motorcycle clubs and individuals to celebrate the holidays by helping the community. Participants should plan to bring one item or more to donate to each of the three stops. Stops will include family Services of Bossier City, KWKH, and the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission. Each participant will receive a card at each stop and the best five poker hands will win a door prize. This event will be held at the Sonic on E. Texas St. in Bossier City.




10 am: 12th Annual Merry Berry Christmas Celebration @ Bilberry Park Recreation Center

Live entertainment, space walk, Annul Miss SPAR Pageant, spelling bee/essay contest, coloring contest, face painting, story telling, parade, pictures with Santa and refreshments. 6:30 pm - Annual Drive-Through Christmas Pageant @ Benton United Methodist Church

A cast of more than 100 church members, live animals including Clyde the camel, appearing in this year's "Journey to Bethlehem" drive-through nativity scene. Visitors will step back in time as they drive along a candlelit path, viewing 10 different scenes depicting the Biblical account of the birth of Jesus.
